Kesiena Boom was formerly a contributing writer at For Harriet, the foremost destination for all things related to Black womanhood on the web and was also previously a contributing writer at Everyday Feminism- the most popular website for feminism with intersectional analysis.

She has also written for BuzzFeed – the prominent social news and entertainment company with a global audience of over 200m, Ladybeard – a glossy feminist magazine looking to revolutionise women’s media, DIVA – Europe’s only lesbian and bisexual monthly magazine and Autostraddle – the world’s largest and most beloved independent lesbian website.

Her writing has been shared on AfterEllen, Guerrilla Feminism, Crunk Feminist Collective and Media Diversified alongside others and has been republished on Adios Barbie.

She writes from the fury in her heart and is a self confessed polemicist inspired by the work of Audre Lorde and Andrea Dworkin.

Her views are trans-inclusive, sex worker supportive and unashamedly woman-centred.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and is embarking on a Master’s in Gender Studies.
